BATCLIFFE WOOD VOLUNTEER TASK

Our next task day is this Friday 25th November.

Task:

We are tackling the bottom end of Batcliffe Wood, alongside Langdale Terrace. Over the last few years we have really got on top of litter and flytipping within the woodland making it a much more pleasant area to enjoy but the very bottom section can still be a hot-spot for flytipping. We will crown raise the trees, thinning out the lower branches to increase the visibility from the road. This should help to deter flytippers. We will carry out some general pruning and bramble scything to help tidy the area. We will also litter pick along this section of the site including any large stones to enable the area team mowers to keep this area tidy in the future. Any help to accomplish this will be greatly appreciated.

Time & Location:

We will meet at the Langdale Terrace entrance to Batcliffe Wood at 10am and work until 1/2pm.

Meeting point is: Langdale Terrace, LS6 3DY what3words: zoom.wizard.butter
